Carpets for Communities is an endorsed Fair Trader of Australia and aims to empower families to break the poverty cycle. We work with selected families in Cambodia to produce rugs and cushion covers. All our products are hand-made from up-cycled t-shirt cotton off-cuts and used hessian rice sacks, making them high quality, eco-friendly, durable and personal. The Fair Trade WA Oxfam Group is a group of volunteers who run a Fair Trade Shop at 5 King William St, Bayswater to promote Fair Trade and raise money for Oxfam. The shop is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday between 10 and 4 pm, volunteers also run Fair Trade stalls at many events each year. We have a huge range of Fair Trade items including toys, food, homewares, musical instruments, soaps, candles, bags and much more. Who is Fair Go Trading?
Fair Go – Fair Trade! This is what we do:
– We have a wide selection of fair trade craft produced by talented artisans from areas such as Peru, Aceh, Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Chile, Kashmir and Central Australia.
– We sell fair trade tea, coffee, chocolate, chocolate drink and sugar. Yummy.
– We complement our site with other eco goodies like our fashionable hemp and organic cotton bags.
– We also have some fabulous world music music and a great topical variety of books for children and adults.
– We are a wholesaler / distributor of some of our fair trade craft products. We also distribute our range of hemp and organic cotton fashion bags.
– We are an endorsed Fair Trader of Australia
We like to encourage consumer habits that reward ethical and sustainable trading practices. By selecting and using Fair Trade, Organic and Eco products, you are helping the producers, artisans, and the land by giving them all a ‘fair go’.
